| Politics of Nuclear Policy in Post-Suharto Indonesia |
| This research looks into the current development of nuclear policy in Indonesia. It explores the political structure that has allowed nuclear energy to emerge as a compelling technological option for the government to cope with energy crisis. This research probes the capacity of the post-Suharto state to handle high risk technology and seeks to identify critical points in the state's policymaking process from which nuclear power possibly poses hazards. |

| This research examines the biofuel iniative launched by the Indonesian government to gradually replace the use of fossil fuel. A number of technical regimes are analyzed to see how biofuel development could benefit people at large. |

It offers the notion of technological nationalism driven from Ricouer's concept f ideology useful to unfold social, cultural, and political implications of nationalist rhetoric to technological development. | Design Policy in the Third World |
| This project was part of NSF-funded "An STS Focus on Design" research project carried out by STS Department at Rensselaer. It examined the mainstream design policy orientation and offered an alternative approach of human-centered design policy based on Winner's concept of political ergonomics.
